Anayeli Vazquez

Anayeli Vazquez is a Colorado based artist and preschool teacher. Anayeli expresses her creativity through visual narratives. Her current creative process includes a combination of black and white illustrations and traditional papercutting techniques to create contemporary artworks that provide a playful and minimalist contrast to the materialistic seriousness of the world. Nature, architecture and children's curiosity and smiles, alongside the artist's childhood memories played a key part in the development of the narratives and illustrations. Through her visual narratives Anayeli portrays a child’s inherent connection to nature as a series of playful and whimsical illustrations and paper cutouts.
